Dr. Devorah Bernstein is a dedicated clinical psychologist at ADO Psychology Center, where she provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults. Her clinical experience includes working at an outpatient mental health clinic on the Lower East Side of Manhattan (Gouverneur Health), where she served a diverse and underserved population. She also completed a training internship at the VA, deepening her expertise in trauma, depression, anxiety, and the unique needs of veterans.
Dr. Bernstein takes a thoughtful, client-centered approach, helping individuals navigate their challenges in a safe and nonjudgmental space. About Me
Dr. Devorah Bernstein is a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques to help adults and children suffering from anxiety, depression and ADHD among other conditions. She also treats individuals suffering from the broad spectrum of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder presentations using effective evidence based methods.
Prior to joining our team, Dr. Bernstein completed her doctorate at Hofstra University where she gained experience treating individuals presenting with a wide variety of clinical disorders, as well as neuropsychological evaluation experience, which has enhanced her diagnostic skills, especially in treating children, adolescents, and emerging adults. Clinically, Dr. Bernstein has experience working in community out-patient centers that treat diverse populations with a wide range of diagnoses. She is also passionate about working with college students and young professionals who are facing important decisions and difficult life transitions. Her approach has been to help these individuals manage stress, while developing a greater degree of self-compassion and improving executive functioning skills.
Dr. Bernstein’s treatment approach is warm and collaborative, yet structured and goal oriented so that clients can achieve their therapeutic goals.
